About Me

Welcome! I'm Queta LaShae, I'm thrilled to share a bit of my journey with you. Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, my culinary adventure began after the passing of my mother. Faced with the need to nourish myself, I dove into the kitchen, teaching myself the art of cooking out of necessity.

My love for cooking truly blossomed while I was in Atlanta. I can’t quite pinpoint when it happened, but something clicked, and I found joy in creating dishes that brought warmth and comfort. My first cookbook was by the incredible Patti LaBelle, and I still remember the challenge of making my first dish—smothered chicken. It was a labor of love, with what felt like a million ingredients, but the end result was nothing short of delicious!

Inspired by the culinary talents of Chef G Garvin, my passion for cooking grew deeper. After moving to Texas, I noticed a gap in flavor that left me disappointed with dining out, so I turned to my own kitchen once again. This led to selling plates at beauty salons and Desoto High School, where I received an overwhelming response that fueled my desire to share my cooking with even more people.

Today, I proudly run my own catering business, where I pour my heart and soul into every dish. From corporate events to weddings and parties, I’m here to make your special occasions unforgettable with flavorful, home-cooked meals.
